Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today, we gather here because we love Japan.
We are concerned about Japan’s future, and the raging defamation orchestrated by anti-Japanese interest groups.
Let us stand up.
Let us stand up to the towering walls of adversaries.
We may stumble; we may fall down.
We may lose our direction in the darkness of thunderstorm.
But we shall stand up, again, and again, and again,
and take steps forward, one by one
until our battle is over
to leave a beautiful Japan to generations to come
so that they live in happiness
so that they take hand in hand with peoples of different values and cultures
to create a better world.
We shall remember that,
this spirit of solidarity, comradeship and harmony is the essence of Japanese value
stated in our first Constitution in 604 AD.
This is the value that our emperor embodies
and this is the value that our honorable ancestors have stood for,
fought for
and died for
during the World War II.
Let us never forget that
we are always standing with our Emperor,
our ancestors from immeasurable past
and all the war heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect Japan.
Now, let us stand up.
Thank you
